New arrivals keen to become part of their community 
Finding work was a priority for Malaykham Salivanh who arrived from Laos in 2011. Last year she got a full-time job at Navitas English, an organisation that helps new arrivals settle. ”If you don’t have English, it’s very hard to get a good job,” she said. ”I feel very lucky.”
