Course Organisation
This course provides students with a basic understanding of the principles of finance with an overview of the operations of the financial markets and the financial instruments that are traded within these markets. It introduces students to the concepts of equity, corporate debt, foreign exchange markets, derivatives and interest rate determinants. The knowledge acquired will create an understanding of topical events, underlying economic trends and the interpretation of financial statements.
Course Structure
The Master of Finance (without an Undergraduate degree in Commerce) is a three semester program (1.5 years) requiring students to enrol in 4 subjects per semester (total of 12 subjects) whereas the Master of Finance (with an undergraduate degree in Commerce) is a four semester program (2 years) requiring students to be enrolled in 3 subjects per semester.

The Master of International Business provides students with global managerial competencies relevant to the Asia-Pacific region. The course features guided independent study, team projects and maximum use of information and communications technology. A unique feature of the course is its action learning format and emphasis on international business competencies. The program is not a generalist one where students from diverse, non-business backgrounds are accepted. It is a Master program for candidates with business or related experience.
Entry requirements
A bachelor's degree in business,economics or commerce, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, provided that the specific discipline in the bachelor's degree is different to the specific discipline of the proposed Professional Masters OR A bachelor's degree in a field other than business, economics or commerce, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution OR Honours degree OR graduate Diploma ( in business, economics or commerce) OR Significant professional experience. Note that the student may be required to complete additional foundation units at the discretion of the appropriate Academic Program Area Head.
Specific requirements
Candidates with insufficient background may be required to complete one or more of the following foundation units before commencing the Master of International Business program- International Trade 501, Finance (International) 573, Management Processes and Policies 560, Innovative Organisations 564 OR Communication in Organisations 560.

Duration
